Performance Anxiety at the Felt

Picture the scenario, if you will. You're sitting at the last table of the World Series of Poker, facing off against Doyle Brunson, Annie Duke, and Scotty Nguyen. You know you're facing three of the top players in the game. You know you're playing for bragging rights, the status of being recognized as one of the top dogs in the sport, and that luscious cash prize. You've got one of the best hands you've seen in your entire life, but you know that there's a very good chance one of the other players at the table has a better set. You also know that there's also a very good chance that none of them have a better hand. Then, when one of them decides to raise the stakes just that much higher, you cave to the pressure and you fold. It happens to every poker player sooner or later, and it can be taken as a sign of performance anxiety.

The fact is, performance anxiety is something that every tournament-level poker player has to deal with, particularly if they're up against players with reputations behind them. Now, as every true-blue gambler knows, reputation is hardly everything when it comes to poker. However, big-name players like Alan Goehring, Phil Helmuth, and many others can easily cause someone to start doubting their own skills. For many players, the slight show of worry and mild fear is enough to ruin their game. For others, only it underscores a slight insecurity in their ability to perform. Sadly, for a certain few, it turns into a full-blown case of performance anxiety.

Of course, this isn't just limited to those who play the big-stakes, big-name tournaments. Even if you're just playing at a table, with your friends from high school, you can get hit by performance anxiety. This is something that has happened to every poker player in the world, though some might misinterpret it as a defensive act, essentially assessing the risks and deciding to back out based on that assessment.

Interestingly enough, most people believe that performance anxiety is significantly more prominent the lower down the poker ladder you go. Beginners tend to get nervous when playing against other players that have more experience than they do, rather than taking it as a learning experience. performance anxiety comes into play when, in the face of a supposedly better player, they cave and fold rather than stick with the decision that a proper risk assessment would bring. According to some observations, some inexperienced players simply let their fear and lack of experience equate into an approximate lack of skill at the game. performance anxiety, while theoretically a natural part of learning the game, can sometimes be blamed on the crippled careers of who knows how many players right before they start.

Of course, a number of players have overcome their initial fears and managed to become successful career poker players. Chris Moneymaker, Phil Helmuth, Annie Duke, Liz Lieu, Doyle Brunson, and even the late, great Stu Ungar all managed to carve out a livelihood playing poker. All of them confronted their fears and overcame performance anxiety. In some cases, when faced with the pressures of the competitive arena, even the best pieces of the game face a little fear every now and then.

Online Education A Novel Approach

A real revolution you can consider the online education to be so. It is not just meant for the benefits of the students as considered in every learning system but has many things to give to the teachers as well.

The recent trend in the recruitment of teachers for schools have shown scarcity in the number of good and dedicated teachers who can understand the child psychology. It has become a serious problematic area and the education system is facing a big challenge in this regard.

Potential teachers to impart education to the students are reducing in numbers and hence the provision of special education for the teachers has been developed. Now the teachers cannot afford to dedicate time in full-time courses and once again begin studies. So to help them in the most convenient way, online education has developed courses to train the teachers to help out students in their learning. This is a real novel approach the online education has initiated to enrich the entire education system.

Specially educated teachers can be widely categorized into two sections. The first category comprises of those teachers who conduct regular classes in the school curriculum. Another section of teachers is those who teach the disabled children in the schools exceptionally meant for them.

Online education has courses for both the sections of teachers to guide them in the best possible way. The biggest advantage of such courses is that the teachers can continue the course along with the job and get refined ideas with real experience at work. On the other hand this is a boon to the students because the teachers can help them with exact guidance to build up their future.

Teachers have the biggest role in building up the nation. If the teachers are inefficient in any aspect the whole society can be put at stake. The school authorities must take care of this aspect and make it mandatory for the teachers to get hold of the specialized training to impart quality education to the students.

Educational requirements can only then be met in a broader perspective and better way if the teachers are more concerned in not just what they are teaching to the students but in the approach they are teaching or giving lessons. A good and potent teacher must have the ability to read the child's mind and then incorporate something in his/her thoughts. The real spirit of education lies in the approach of education and online education for teachers is just a way to show this route.

The 7 Most Unusual Hotels in the World

I don't know about you, but I'm really getting tired of the same old vacation spots! Yes, the golden sand and clear, warm water are very enticing. Yes, the clear mountain air invites you to explore everything. But the problem is that sometimes you just want something different and the usual vacation spot just won't cut it anymore!

Here are the top 7 most unusual hotels in the world, giving you a possible destination for your next great vacation:

1. Woodpecker Hotel (Vasteras, Sweden)

Are you afraid of heights? If yes, this sure isn't the hotel for you! The Woodpecker hotel is 13 meters (42 feet) above ground in a 130 year old oak tree in the Vasaparken park.

This is the work of Mikael Genberg, a Swedish artist, who at first planned for the hotel to be free to anyone. It soon became aparent that everyone wanted to sleep there so they began charging fees.

The hotel is very small (consider the limitations) it's not without its creature comforts: toilet, small kitchen, library, comfortable bed and a chair and table on the veranda.

2. Utter Inn (Stockholm, Sweden)

The Utter Inn is yet another of Mikael Genberg's creations in his inimitable style. The Utter Inn is an underwater floating hotel with a typical swedish red house as the top floating part and an aquarium as the bedroom.

Guests are taken by boat to the hotel, given instructions and then left alone. If they choose the deluxe package they will also get a dinner delivered by boat.

How much for a night? $350 US, but the experience will be worth much, much more!

3. Dog Bark Park Inn (Indiana, USA)

Do you love beagles? Well have I found the perfect hotel for you! The Dog Bark Park Inn is a bed & breakfast guesthouse inside the world's biggest Beagle.

And they aren't kidding - it's a 2 story building that has most of the amenities you need: queen bed, full bath, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, books, games and puzzles. Unfortunately there's no phone or TV.

4. Ice Hotel (Quebec, Canada)

Although ice hotels aren't exactly a new concept, the one in Quebec is a unique structure in Canada and considering the fact that it exists only between January 5th and April 1st makes it even more exclusive.

The hotel is made entirely of ice and snow with 5.5 high ceilings and has 18 rooms and 14 theme suites, reception room, a chapel and Absolut Ice Bar.

The prices will go as high as $475 for a theme room with a fireplace and includes anything from drinks to the mattresses and sheets to keep you warm.

5. Woodlyn Park (Otorohanga, New Zealand)

Woodly Park, owned by Billy Black, will give you the option to stay in one of their 3 unique motels: the underground hobbit motel (straight out of Tolkien's books, circular windows and all), a converted, a converted railcar with 3 rooms and a 1950s Bristol Freighter plane, fully refurbished.

However, that's not the only attraction: Woodlyn Park is the only place in New Zealand where you get the chance to drive a jet boat capable of over 100HP around a specially designed course.

6. Kokopelli's Cave (Farmington, USA)

If you suddenly feel the strange need to go back to the Stone Age, why not take a vacation at Kokopelli's Cave, a privately owned luxury cliff dwelling located north of Farmington, New Mexico near the Mesa Verde National Monument.

You will be staying in a 1650 square feet (155 square meters) one-bedroom cave home carved from a 65-million year old sandstone formation.

The view is incredible here: there is a 280 feet drop down to the La Plata River, to the west the Shiprock and Chuska mountains in the Navajo Reservation, to the northwest the Ute Mountains, and to the north La Plata and San Juan Mountains.

All this for only around $280 US per night - a real bargain if you ask me!

7. Propeller Island City Lodge (Berlin, Germany)

This is the perfect place if you favor art and well, weird decors. Taking a look at the room selection you'll surely find at least one that you love and at least one that you hate.

Some of the rooms are brightly painted, others have patterns that will make you dizzy, others are simple and serene and some are just plain weird.

Do you want to experience sleeping in a prison cell, a coffin or even lion cages? You can have it all, one night at a time of course, in the same hotel! And prices are around only $150 US!

As you can see these are all great destinations, almost guaranteed to give you an unforgettable vacation.

Staying Fit On The Go

Just because you are a busy person with lots to do everyday, it doesn't mean that you don't have time to stay fit and keep in shape while traveling. Excuses do not keep you fit and in shape and able to keep up with the demands of your busy life. If you are a member of a health club it would benefit you greatly if you ask the club if it participates in any programs that offer privileges at other facilities. Guest passes to certain spa and athletic clubs are sometimes free for one day. If your hotel does not have arrangements with a club near your hotel, the hotel that you are staying at just might. Asking at the front desk may open your eyes to many possibilities for a workout away from home and you will find out exactly what your options really are. Lots of hotels at least have treadmills or similar machines, which are much better than simply laying in bed and watching TV during your stay.

When traveling just remember that almost every town has a YMCA or YWCA. Locate the yellow pages in your hotel room and give them a call. Again, there is now no excuse to become a traveling couch potato. Opportunities for you to take care of your fitness needs abound in all of your business and personal travels.

If necessary you may need to get a little creative, by using your hotel room as the gym of the day. Exercising in your hotel room is an easily and very convenient way to make certain that you get in your work out without missing a beat. Before you leave for your trip pack some collapsible hand weights or elastic exercise bands or other equipment that is made for travel, and turn your hotel room into the indoor gym that it has the potential to be. Elastic bands are great for getting resistance without lugging around big old dumbbells everywhere you go. Use the chairs and other pieces of furniture to your advantage to satisfy all of your fitness needs. Body weight exercises are enough for a great workout. Combine crunches, pushups, and legups. You won't exercise a large variety of muscles using only body weight, but you will at least be able to work on your heart and your endurance.

We understand that working out is not as easily done when you are in route to your next destination, so if your time is extremely tight and you don't have time for a complete work out. There are other alternatives to not working out at all. Stretch in your room, take a long walk. I bet the hotel is just as nice on the other side of the pool. Speaking of pool, you could always take a swim. Swimming is definitely a workout that will work every muscle in your body. With all of these ideas for a good work out, if not the best work out that you have ever had, you should no longer have any excuse for not continuing your fitness routine while traveling.

Just remember that it doesn't really matter where you are when you do your work out but that you do your work out where you are. And if you can't do the exact routine that you are useful, just take solace in the fact that you are getting a workout.

Too much of a good thing: When exercise becomes detrimental to ones health

Bruce Lee is a martial arts icon. He blazed the movie screens with his powerful, lighting quick punches and kicks. More than just a martial arts master, he was a philosopher, instructor, and actor. More than He is admired and respected by many martial artists today. He is often referred as the Father of Mixed Martial Arts because of his introduction of Jeet Kune Do (Way of the Intercepting Fist). Bruce Lee was so influential that he was included in Time Magazine's Most Important People of the Century. It put him in the ranks of Mother Theresa, Albert Einstein, Pope John II, Che Guevarra, and Adolf Hitler. He was famous for his One-Inch Puncha strike that generates enough power to throw a man several feet away from a technique executed just an inch away from the target --- without the usual leverage of a normal punch that is retracted backwards.
Bruce Lee's training regimen is also the stuff of legend. He always emphasized exercises for the arms and the abdominal muscles. Abs training, according to Lee, is a must for any martial artist who wants to be prepared to engage in full-contact sparring, or in a real street fight.
Bruce Lee usually did three sets of bicep curls using weights as heavy as 70 to 80 pounds. He also engaged in a series or training cycle of squats, push-ups, and wrist curls and stretching. After a distance run of two to six miles, would still hop on a stationary bike and work at it for another 45 minutes --- which is equivalent to a distance of 10 miles. To improve his kicking power, he used a 300-pound bag that can absorb his powerful long-range strikes.
But even with all his physical prowess and fighting skills, there was still a chink in Bruce Lee's armor. He over-trained. It was common-knowledge that Bruce Lee was a die-hard fitness fanatic, almost maniacal when it comes to improving his physique. But despite years of experience in scientific methods of physical training, he sustained an almost life-threatening injury to his back --- not during a fight or a martial arts competition --- but because of over training and a mistake in a workout routine.
Reports say that sometime in 1970, while Lee was performing a barbell exercise called Good Morning, he mistakenly bent his body forward while lifting a very heavy barbell. The metal pole that held the two barbells were held on his shoulders, with the middle of the pole placed behind his neck.
At that time, he only weighed 135 pounds. And although he had exceptional physical strength, the gravity that pulled down the barbell was just too much for his bent body to take.
He was about to complete his first set of eight bends with the barbell when he suddenly heard a loud popping sound. He dropped the weights and immediately knew he injured himself.
At the hospital, the doctors told Bruce Lee that he had acquired a very serious back injury. The trauma to his lumbar area was so severe that he spent months in therapy. The man considered to be one of strongest human beings alive during that time was suddenly crippled from the neck down. Doctors even told him that he would never be able to continue martial arts because of his injury. As part of the treatment, he had to regularly take anti-inflammatory drugs. He was told that the first step in the back pain relief process was to reduce the swelling of the discs on his lower back.
On July 20, 1973, Bruce Lee died in Hong Kong at the age of 32. Medical reports said that the cause of death was a brain edema, or an abnormal excess fluid in his brain. Additional reports reveal that his sudden death was caused by an unusual and fatal reaction to a prescription painkiller he was taking for back pain relief. Even with the medical certificate and testimonies of people who were with Bruce Lee prior to his death, some still believe that the martial arts superstar was murdered. Others believed that he was cursed.
But one thing is clear. Bruce Lee over-trained and his mistake in training took a heavy toll on his health.
Today, like Lee, many athletes are over-training and putting their sports careers --- and yes, their very lives at stake. According to health specialists, over-training takes place when an individual spends too much time working their bodies without leaving enough time for rest which is so essential to restore the body cells that are broken down during exercise. Some athletes also neglect proper nutrition and the use of proper workout techniques and procedures. The human body needs to have the right food and adequate rest in order to recuperate after training. Other factors that may lead to over-training include the excessive emphasis on competition and errors in training programs. People who over-train experience depression, loss of appetite, weight loss, muscle soreness, and insomnia --- exact opposites of the results that they wanted to achieve via training. In fact, sports doctors can attest to the fact that many athletes continue to seek back pain relief.
Over-training may lead to injuries, and, in the long run, may even lead to the development of arthritis due to wear and tear of the muscles, joints, and other body parts. While a number of anti-inflammatory drugs are available in the market, these should be taken only with a doctor's prescription.
Like Bruce Lee, people should really care about their health. However, it is important to determine the difference between having a healthy lifestyle and being obsessed with physical perfection. Over-training and an unbalanced view of sports and exercise may lead people to make tragic mistakes. While he clearly was an excellent specimen of physical excellence, Bruce Lee was not immune to errors in judgment. He too was mortal and, like the rest of us, had to seek back pain relief and other therapy to recover his health.
In physical training, as it is in life, there is such a thing as having too much of a good thing.

Write Your Book Now and Conquer the Giant Called Procrastination

Write your best book now! Have you been guilty of procrastinating on your book project, lately? Many writers get hung up with wrong thinking about writing and completing their books.

Knowledge and know-how can be formed into easy steps that will destroy the power of procrastination. Using the amazingly easy steps below writers can conquer the giant procrastination and speedily write their best book now:

1. Maintain your momentum.
Unseasoned writers may play the martyr and push through just to put something on paper or give up and try again another day. We would never get it done like that. When you get stuck simply close that chapter; pull out your chapter outline and choose another chapter.

Don't give in to writers block. Move on to work on the chapter you feel passion bubbling for at that moment.

2. Rewrite and Re-organize.
Be a professional. Don't be lazy and save all the editing for your editor. Make your manuscript the best it can be. My advice is to avoid re-writing during your first draft.

Concentrate on finishing each chapter then use your tracking time to self-edit: Check your ideas for flow, grammar, spelling, and chapter endings. Work on your chapter titles and lead in introductions.

3. Learn to Delegate.
Don't succumb to the idea that you have to do it all yourself if you want it done right. Discern your talents and delegate the rest. Know when to let go of your chapters and book. Don't self-edit and pick your book apart word by word.

Learn to use your skills at the highest level possible. Some of the mechanical tasks of proofreading ask a family member, part-time employee or again a friend to help. Let go faster and profit sooner.

4. Work Efficiently.
Embrace technology. If you don't know how something works, find out. Take a class. Read articles. Learn how to use your software to make things easier and faster. At least take the time to learn about the shortcuts in your current software. Welcome to the new millennium! Remember, don't run from technology; make your software work efficiently for you.

5. Print Out and Back Up Daily.
Don't believe a computer crash can never happen to you. Save your work somewhere besides your computer hard drive, floppy disk, cd, DVD. Make a hard copy of your manuscript. Print out changes as you work.

Even so, nothing can happen until that first draft is completed. Procrastination is ultimately based on fear of failure. It has stopped countless of book projects and stolen the vision of many more.

Don't allow procrastination to become a giant towering over your book dreams. Go now; sign-up for a free course, pin-point your topic, write your table of contents or simply write your first draft.

Whatever you do, do it now and release your important message to the world. Best wishes for your greatest success yet.

What To Do If Linux Refuses To Boot

This deals with what action is to be taken (during a reboot) after a power failure or an incomplete shutdown of a Linux system due to any reason. This problem seems to be very common since many newcomers install Linux and get all the various softwares/hardwares working under Linux and suddenly one day the power fails. There are a few things that you can try to get Linux back on track..

1. While rebooting, Linux may print a message saying that there is a problem with the file system and it might force a check. It would do this for all Linux partitions. If the checks (they generally take around 30-60 seconds. also displays a rotating indicator) are successful then you are lucky. Linux should mostly continue booting and you should be back in business soon. If this is what happens then you may be under an impression that a direct switch off of a Linux machine leads to no problems. Please note that you were just lucky that you got away without any major problems.

2. While rebooting, Linux may not be successful in any of the file system checks. In this case, the booting stops abruptly with a message stating that you should run fsck manually without a few parameters. Once you reach the hash prompt (#) then run the fsck command as mentioned (fsck -a -p /dev/hdaX). The fsck command requires the partition which it has to check. So if you have installed Linux on /dev/hda1 then you have to run fsck as follows: fsck -a -p /dev/hda1.

When you run fsck it would mostly find some inode problems and ask you whether you want to fix them, Select the default option (yes). It would do so for all the problems found. Once this is over you can restart the machine using either "Ctlr+Alt+Del" or "shutdown -r 0", whichever works. Now this time your Linux machine should boot properly.

3. It has so happened that once when the power failed, Linux simple failed to boot on my machine. It gave no errors at all, but the init process would just not get initiated. It would find my partitions, mount the ext2 file system as read only and then would simply display a prompt. Even with this prompt I wasn't able to do a lot. Also I noticed that a few of the default directories were missing on the native partition. The only solution that I found to this was to Reinstall Linux.

Note: While reinstalling, the best and safest way for the above problem would be to insert the installation media (Redhat Linux 6.1 CD). And instead of selecting to install the OS once again, select to upgrade the existing installation. This would effectively replace all the damages areas of the OS and would also retain all your personal data and configurations in Linux (This should work in almost all cases).
Hence I would always advice an upgrade to the same version (If you originally had Redhat Linux 6.1, insert the CD and once again select to upgrade to Redhat Linux 6.1 itself). If the upgrade option doesn't fix the problem, then you would have to do a reinstall after a reformat of the Linux partitions.

4. In one case when Linux refused to boot I noticed that a few of the main files / directories were missing. I found that the /sbin directory (which is a very important directory) wasn't there in the root directory. I performed a search for this directory and found it to be within another directory. After some discussion I realized that my friend has accidentally moved this directory within his GUI when he was working in superuser mode. As long as he was working a few commands didn't work but he did not bother about finding out why they didn't work. Once he rebooted his machine the absence of this directory hung the booting process. So I suggest that you never work in superuser mode unless absolutely necessary. Even within the superuser mode prefer the shell, since you can hardly ever do anything accidentally in the shell. In my friend's case I simply moved that directory back within the root directory and Linux booted without any problems.

Take the time to have a look at the file system and make a mental note of the directory structure which appears to be pretty complex.

Saving Energy in 2007-In Your Home, Your Business, and Your Way of Life

Your children recycle bottles in school, you and your family know to shut the lights off when leaving a room, and it's somewhat comforting to think that the coffee cup you drink out of every morning was made from 25% recycled paper. You constantly remind yourself "the little things add up" as you purchase the energy-efficient lighting for your recently redecorated living room and you made sure to shut off the heating to your home when your family took a trip to Europe for a month last year. You are a good citizen and you care about the future of the environment because you know that generations of your family in the future will have to deal with the results that your generation is causing today.

When use of energy is divided amongst residential, transportation, commercial, and industrial distribution of usage, the industrial and manufacturing use of energy is by far the largest chunk. These companies use about one-third of the energy in the United States alone. It's easy for a homeowner to change a few habits within their home and their day-to-day activities in order to save energy and promote recycling, but for larger businesses, the task can prove to be much more difficult. There are not many options for a business owner when it comes to designing and installing a refrigeration system for a certain food product that needs cold storage or an ice area that requires a consistent cold temperature at all times. Solar powered refrigeration on such a large scale is not always an option for these businesses, so they need to go with whatever alternative is the most energy and cost efficient.

These businesses also need to go with the safest choice in refrigeration to limit massive safety hazards. Ammonia is a product that you are likely to find used in industrial refrigeration, and ammonia itself is an extremely hazardous product. It corrodes skin if you touch it, it's flammable at certain levels, and can explode if it's ignited within an enclosed space. Companies that require industrial refrigeration or any large-scale refrigeration using ammonia must be aware of the safety precautions and training that their employees must undergo in order to work with such large-scale refrigerators. One wrong move and an entire system could shut down, ruining a week's worth of that company's product. Even worse than loss of revenue is potential loss of health or life that could happen if an employee is untrained or careless when working in an environment that consists of an ammonia refrigeration system.

There are a couple of new ways for businesses such as these to begin to preserve the energy that they use. Energy efficient windows can help to lock a temperature into an enclosed space and for companies who are relying on their refrigeration systems to maintain a large space or warehouse at a certain temperature, investing in these windows could be very cost-effective and would result in a smaller amount of energy needed to maintain the temperature. On a smaller scale, energy efficient windows can also be installed in your household for the same purposes; to preserve energy while saving you money.

Regardless of whether or not you chose to help preserve the energy and recycle in your household, going with an energy-saving device rather than a generic energy-sucking product that will simply get the job done is a decision that benefits both the investor and the environment that the investor's future generations will proser in.

Buying Paintings: Symbolism

Evoking a taste similar to the Romanticist tradition, but utilized mysticism and sensitivity through mythology and dream imagery, preceding the psychoanalytical work of Freud and Jung. With a strong philosophical touch, more so than a style of art, and Art Nouveau and Expressionist artists such as Edvard Munch. Beginning in France as a reaction to the movements of Naturalism and Realism, which seemed to capture the particular components of consensual reality, and presented spirituality and imagination reflecting some artists budding interest in religion and spirituality.

In literature, poet Charles Baudelaire was developing his work and the movement, and especially with such luminaries as Verlaine contributing to the collective effort of the literary movement during the 1860s and through to the 1870s. With the works of Edgar Allen Poe coming to popularity in the 1880s, the Symbolism movement in artwork represented an outgrowth into the darker and more gothic nature of Romanticism, and contrasted with Romanticisms rebellious and impetuous sides. Symbolist writers wrote in very metaphoric and suggestive manner, to imbue the subjects with a sense of symbolic meaning, and made realistic images into representatives for more esoteric and primordial ideas.

In translating the language of dreams into artwork with symbolic leanings, discovering a visual style that draws upon that philosophical approach that captures a sense of art that has been influential on more than one movement artistically, and has evoked some of the more fantastic imagery to ever cross a canvas. The Symbolist Manifesto was published in 1886, leading to a description of the movement that included ideas such as being hostile towards plain and matter-of-fact meanings, and to express the ideal in a perceptible form was the sole purpose of this art form.

Symbolists that preferred poetic means of conveying their ideas, were known for their techniques of removing technical aspects to achieve a greater fluidity for their work, and became related with seeking use of symbolic images over raw description to evoke the state of the poets soul. Paul Verlaine was influential in an 1884 publication defining the essence of Symbolism, through many essays on the relevant poets of the day, and came to the conclusion of relating the works of this movement to the famed philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer, whose own work delved into art as a means of refuge from the strife of the world.

These similarities, which presented a contemplative and artistic refuge using themes such as mortality and otherworldliness, created disparaging arguments between critic and artist alike. Leading to many Symbolist poets of the day to make their own publications and periodicals, and the literary Symbolism then reached its peak in the year 1886, with one particular periodical lasting until 1965. Though the two aspects of the movement were distinct, they would occasionally overlap each other, and became a continuation for mystical tendencies in a Romantic tradition, even flirting with the self-consciously dark Decadence movement.

There were several dissimilar groups of painters and visual artists within the Symbolism movement, and the artistic movement seemed to have a greater impact worldwide than the literary movement, reaching multiple artists and sculptors from such distinct parts as Russia. Many of the symbols found herein are not necessarily universal, but more personally affected with the artists obscure and private references, with some dreamlike subject matter influencing later Surrealists. Symbolism has had a strong link to music for a while, and mostly due to the enthusiasm for the work of Richard Wagner, whose own music reflected his influence from the philosopher Schopenhauer.

Symbolism even grew to affect some of the literary fiction contributed by Oscar Wilde and Paul Adam, and has a pronounced ring when speaking about movements that have literarily and artistically that have crossed over into other inner groupings of artistic work. The waters of Symbolism have even filtered down the centuries into the state of motion pictures today, and early on held influence with Russian playwright Anton Chekhov, as well as Russian actor and director Vsevolov Meyerholds method of acting that influenced early motion pictures.

It is difficult to overlook Symbolisms influence and repercussions throughout the timeline to the current period of the world, as it drifts through many aspects taken for granted on a daily basis, and many pieces of work for many artists from writer T. S. Eliot to painter Pablo Picasso and even the state of horror films as well. A decidedly different state of the world now has interpreted and reinterpreted all this throughout these hundreds of years, and created more and more material reflections of the state of things as they happen to be.

Alfa Romeo May Return To The US

MotorAuthority tell us that thanks to Fiat, SpA's miraculous fiscal turn around, Alfa Romeo now is officially slated to return to these United States in the spring of 2009.

Sure, we've heard these tempting declarations before from the Italian marque that's given the automotive world some of the most beautiful cars we've ever known. But with the solid return of Maserati, it just might be so. Let's hope that the 8C (shown) is one of the first Alfas to arrive on these eager shores.

The iconic Alfa Romeo spider - the model as a brand, specifically - has lived through days of glory (think as everyone does, The Graduate) and days that will live in infamy (the bubble-met-rectangle late 90's variant).

The latest spider - we've been promised - will bless the American public with her gorgeous presence sometime this decade. But the car is currently on offer in Europe. And now on that side of The Pond, as on option, Alfa will offer a 200 horsepower 2.4 liter diesel engine.

Say what?

That's right, an oil burner. True, this is not exactly out of lane with most of Europe's motoring trends. After all, the majority of Europeans drive diesels wedded to manual transmissions.

Still, it seems neither right nor proper that the sexiest of everyday Italian boulevardiers should speak not with the suggestive tones of petrol infused engine, but with the dull, clattering accent of any Euro taxi?

Alfa can keep the diesel Spider on that side of The Pond.

Also, according to the MotorAuthority, Alfa Romeo (and its parent company Fiat, SpA) is considering a partnership with China's Chery Automobile in an effort to break into the PRC's explosive car market. The only thing that worries Alfa's management and the world's Alfisiti is the spectre of an Alfa-Chery partnership that ends up producing some real lemons.

"[W]e have to be sure the Chery plant produces real Alfas and this requires a great commitment on our side both in terms of quality and engineering." Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne said.

Of course were this 20+ years ago, worries over reliability would likely not have come from the prospect of manufacturing Alfas in China, but the danger of keeping production in Italy! Ah well, how times change. Still, the concept of non-Italian made Alfas provides a disturbing insight to globalization realities.

In an event the "'Made In Italy' excellence," is the catch phrase being tossed around by the public relations heads of world renowned designer Giorgio Armani and sportscar icon Alfa Romeo. This bit of "Proud to be Italian" comes on the heels of Fiat mulling over the controversial idea of manufacturing Alfas in China for the Chinese market.

Together at the Triennale in Milan, Alfa Romeo is sponsoring the Giorgio Armani exhibit that showcases 30 years of the designer's work. And, like any good sponsor, Alfa has thrown in the new Brera to display for good measure.

"Sponsorship of the 'Giorgio Armani Exhibition' is part of a strategy aimed at forging a permanent link between Alfa Romeo and the world of culture, in the sense of artistic expression highlighting creativity and innovation," Alfa Romeo CEO Antonio Baravalle said.

The following article presents the broad information on types of bags/suitcase available in the market. If you have a particular interest in this subject, then this informative article is required carefully reading. However, you may not consider everything you just read to be crucial information. But don't be surprised if you find yourself recalling and using this very information in the next few days.
As many of you already know that there are plenty of suitcase types and designs available to choose from, and each of them certainly has advantages and disadvantages, so you have to learn a bit more about them in order to choose properly. It is not only for you to choose the best one that you can afford, but also you have to consider many elements of each of them elaborately, so you need to identify your need first whether you want suitcase that made from the material which is hard, soft or kind of semi-soft material.
The first type that we are going to know is called Pullmans. They are large suitcases that generally have variety of sizes. The most common type of Pullmans available range in size from two to three feet of each side. Due to their large side, this kind of suitcase usually equipped with roller wheels in order for users to move or transport them easily.
However, using large suitcase have both pros and cons it may have disadvantage in terms of size and weight which could be heavy, but in the same time it is proved that large suitcase also provides the most protection of your belongings during the bag or suitcase is being transported. Meanwhile softer suitcase provides more flexibility in terms of it can contain stuff a bit more than its capacity. There is a type of soft suitcase called semi-soft suitcase, which has a large size same as hard suitcase but provide more flexibility than the hard case ones. Even though semi-soft type may have less protection if compare to hard suitcase but they still have more protection than soft suitcases. This type of bag sometime is more convenient than the completely hard suitcase ones because sometimes hard suitcase could not be carried onto the plane and has to be checked by officer.
In general use, most of people tend not to pack their suit or dress that likely to wrinkle into suitcase. There is a specific type of bag that designed specially for this purpose and its called garment bag. Garment bags normally have to be checked but in most case depend on its size and weight.
There is another type of suitcase called carry-on suitcase, this type is very popular among travelers who travel in short term period. This type is usually soft or semi-soft material suitcase. The size of carry-on suitcase is approximately 22 inches and mostly equipped with roller wheels. By using this type of bag to travel abroad, you may have to check the requirement of the airline because sometime the over-stuff carry-on bags may be too large for overhead compartment.

Third World Wisdom What Bogota Colombia Can Teach Us About Progress

It sounds surprising, but Bogota, Colombia is one of the most modern metropolitan cities in Latin America, and one of the most progressive. Urban development in Bogota is proving to be environmentally friendlier, cost effective and convenient for the citys residents, and the world is taking notice.

Perched high in the Andes, 2,600 meters above sea level, Bogota is the biggest and busiest city in Colombia, edging towards 8 million people. Its the centre of Colombias economy, military and trade industries, and the face of a country which has struggled for peace and security for many years.

Both historically and contemporarily, Bogota has struggled to cope with civil unrest, widespread poverty, violence and one of the largest illegal drug producing industries in the world. But beyond the headlines of chaos, Bogota has plenty to teach the world about progress.

In 1998 Enrique Penalosa was elected as mayor of Bogota. During his term of service, which lasted until 2001, he was responsible for a radical agenda of successful urban re-development projects. These projects were not developed out of environmental and economic concerns only, but also out of concern for the psychological and physical effects on Bogotas residents through over urbanisation.

He declared 'I dream of a tropical city, crisscrossed by large pedestrian avenues, shaded by enormous tropical trees, as the axes of life of those cities.'

His motivation was his belief that a developing nation could take their modest situation in the scheme of global wealth and development as an advantage. An opportunity to avoid development mistakes of first world nations, and in doing so, create the best urban environment possible: one that services the needs of its citizens efficiently but is also an enjoyable environment to live in.

He said 'Over the past 80 years we have been building cities for cars much more than for people. If only children had as much public space as cars, most cities in the world would become marvelous.'

He also believed that by bringing nature closer to Bogotas poor communities, he was bridging the gap between the wealthy, who could afford to take countryside vacations, and the poor, by providing them with better recreational areas that would give them somewhere to relax, exercise and spend time with family, leading to a happier existence and healthier lifestyle for all.

One of the most celebrated initiatives he undertook was the development of a massive network of cycleways all over the city, giving commuters a safer, healthier and environmentally friendly alternative to travelling to work by car.

Fittingly, the project was largely funded by an increase in taxes on petrol. The thinking was, that those wealthy enough to choose to travel by car instead of by bike, could choose to wear the hike in tax also. Revenue was also raised by increasing public parking fees.

Restrictions were also placed on the hours between which people could drive cars through the streets of the city, forcing people to ride bikes, walk or catch public transport during peak hour periods. The desired affect was achieved with a reduction of nearly 40% of cars during these hours.

Today there is more than 300kms of ciclorutas in Bogota, the most extensive network in any city of the world. The use of bicycles in Botoga has risen by 900% and the amount of traffic accidents has also reduced dramatically.

But Penalosas efforts did not end there. In February 2000, Penalosas first 'car free day' was held. No cars were allowed to drive anywhere in the entire city between 6:30 am until 7:30pm. Despite the day occurring on a Thursday, no major disruptions were reported, and some local retail businesses even reported a welcome increase in sales.

The day was declared a success and a public referendum was held, determining that an annual car free day every February would be organised. Further to this, it was decided that by 2015, driving between morning and afternoon peak hours would be banned altogether during weekdays.

Public approval of the plan was such that now, every Sunday in Bogota is also a car free day, allowing residents to travel by roller blades and bikes anywhere within the city without the danger of cars to contend with.

Along with the reduction of personal vehicle use, Penalosa also focused on an efficient public transport system, and the development of Bogotas Transmilenio system was begun. Car lanes on busy streets and arterial roads were reclaimed for a network of high speed buses in dedicated lanes.

Since the opening of the system in late 2000, the travelling time of the average commuter using the system was decreased by 32%, gas emissions were reduced by 40% and the amount of accidents in areas where the system operates reduced by 90%.

There were critics, of course, but the majority of Bogotanos supported these projects. They are now enjoying the benefits of exercise, shorter traveling times to and from work and reduced transport expenses. Family welfare groups are also supportive, due to the increase on families spending time together rollerblading and biking around the city.

Today, Penalosa is hailed as a pioneer. He is credited by many Colombians as changing the face of their nation but the international community has also recognised his work. In 2000, he received the prestigious Stockholm Challenge Award in recognition of his Car Free Day project.

The award was designed to acknowledge those who pioneer technological developments to improve quality of life and provide plausible models for others to follow for the sake of global improvement, be it environmentally or socially.

After his term as Mayor of Bogota he was invited to speak on behalf of the world Energy Foundation. Today he is a scholar at the New York University where he is writing a book on Urban Development.

When Penalosa's term ended in 2001, his campaign did not. As well as pursuing urbanisation issues academically, he now works as a consultant for developing world cities. His projects in Bogota have become the centre of research and study by other cities around the globe, as a model for local development projects in places including Mexico City, Delhi, Lima, Panama City, Jakarta and Guangzhou.

But perhaps the greatest contribution Penalosa made was his demonstration that good urban development comes firstly through a change of attitude. That by taking action and exploring less conventional approaches, change for the better is possible and affordable.

As he said, Public space is for living, doing business, kissing, and playing. Its value can't be measured with economics or mathematics; it must be felt with the soul.

Credit Card Machines for All Business Types

With the ever increasing popularity of credit/debit cards and electronic payment options, businessmen too are trying hard to keep up with the changing trends and are applying for merchant accounts to process plastic payments. A merchant account is basically a part of payment processing chain, the first link of which is the credit card terminal or the credit card machine. The credit card machine allows the shopkeeper or the merchant to swipe the customers credit card and completes the transaction from his side. The merchant service provider completes the rest of the process i.e. capture the funds from the customers account and transfer them to the account of the businessman. There are basically three types of terminals; traditional terminals that may or may not have inbuilt printers, wireless credit card machines and virtual or software based terminals. The third type is meant solely for internet merchants or for those taking business telephonic orders.
Traditional terminals are bulky as compared to their sleeker portable cousins. Traditional terminals are usually used by businessmen who are always on the move like caterers, travel agents and insurance salesmen. Terminals have different types of displays. Larger displays make it easier for you, to see more information at the same time. Some credit card machines come with backlights that illuminate the display area, thereby making it easier of businessmen operate in low light conditions. Keypads too differ in size and the number of keys and larger keypad obviously improves the ease of use.
Virtual terminals as mentioned above are meant solely for processing online and telephonic orders. Its the job of the merchant service provider to provide you with the processing software that will complete the payment transaction. All you would be required to do is to type in the credit card number and the software will complete the authorization part.
Now by visiting the website of Advanced Merchant Services you browse through our huge selection of credit card machines. Advanced Merchant Services (AMS) has been operating in the online environment since the last nine years and has been providing incomparable services to its clients ever since its inception. AMS is backed by the biggest conglomeration of banks in the United States and is an ongoing member of the Better Business bureau. By using the Price Bust option on our site, you can browse through the websites of all our competitors and do a quick price comparison. If youre offered a lower price on any merchant service or credit card terminal, just let us know and we will immediately beat it by 5%. Shared Hosting: What You Need To Know

As more and more individuals and businesses rush to the Net to establish a business or even a personal presence, the question of what is the most appropriate web hosting choice becomes of paramount concern. This fundamental fact holds true no matter where in the world you might be seeking web hosting services, including individuals and businesses that are seeking Canadian web hosting.

Once you complete the process of domain name registration, you will necessarily turn your attention to web hosting options and alternatives. At the present time, a great number of individuals and businesses are turning to and utilizing shared hosting services when it comes to their Internet websites.

As with many other Internet based services, there are both pros and cons to engaging and utilizing a shared web hosting service. By having a basic understanding of the positive and negative aspects associated with shared hosting, you will be able to better ascertain whether or not dedicated hosting or shared hosting is the proper alternative for you or your business enterprise.

To begin with, what may be the most important aspect of shared hosting to consider, is the price. Free hosting is really not recommended, especially for a business. You need a reliable host, and shared hosting is the most affordable way to have that.

Besides price, there is the issue of technical support. All shared hosts have good customer support, as this is one of the cornerstones of their business, and a major issue of competition between them. So if you don't have a lot of experience hosting a site, you might want a shared hosts, just because then you know it is run by someone who knows what they are doing.

Moreover, when it comes to shared hosting, you generally will be able to access supplemental services such as multiple email options and PHP support. Finally, you personally do not need to have extensive knowledge in regard to website hosting and server administration when you take the shared hosting approach.

Although, as I have said, there are negative factors to bear in mind. For instance, shared hosting usually has a much lower level of security available. This is purely because a number of people have access to the server, not just you, and so it is a lot harder to make sure it stays safe.

Another problem associated with shared hosting (that can end up being very significant in some instances) is the limitation in server resources that will be available to you or your business. Because multiple websites will be utilizing the same hard drive, memory and CPU, server resources can end up being stretched and overly taxed to your detriment.

Last, there is the problem of choice. While there are a lot of hosts to choose from, not all of them will have exactly the software you require, and if you later find you need a particular piece you will not be able to just install it, which you could if you owned the host yourself.

Having said all this, there are still a lot of people who choose shared hosting. This includes a significant proportion of people who use alternative systems, such as windows web hosting, virtual private servers (VPS), or exchange server hosting. So there are plenty of pros and cons to consider.

How to search for real estate

Once you are convinced of going for real estate, you must try to gain adequate knowledge for maximum yield. Real Estate industry also follows the most traditional advertisement media like news papers, kiosks, billboards, television etc. They also take the opportunity of propagating at various events and trade shows. However, the craze of real estate and the competition have forced them to come out with spectacular advertisements in the leading places for optimum visibility.

We suggest you to search the net also as most of the real estate companies and agents/ brokers even display their properties there. They come up with details and while visiting the site, you might need to fill up a form or send an email or at times pick up the phone to get further details. Like Knight Frank property search provides you with all filters to narrow down your search. It provides option for new or old real estate, rent or purchase, area, budget, location, rooms & bathrooms etc. Just for an example, Spain has become the most preferred destination for Europeans and even for a lot of Asians and Latin Americans are for purchasing real estate there for its sylvan beauty.

In the preparatory stage, you should be able to clearly identify your needs like how many rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, garage, whether you have got pets, porticos, lofts etc. Once you identify your needs clearly, then look for a similar real estate in your desired locality and get an approximate budget. Now the question of compromising between requirements and budget comes into picture. Once everything is finalized, you take the help of agents.

Again, you need to finalize the following before going to an agent
1)Identification of your minimum requirements
2)Location
3)Knowledge about the real estate property market
4)Knowledge about mortgaging companies/ lenders.

Never forget to obtain numero de identificacion de extranjeros, if you want to purchase a property in Spain.

Why It Is Important To Vaccinate Your Child

Nobody wants to take the new baby to the doctor for a shot that is going to make him or her cry. New moms feel the pain their babies are feeling and want to protect them from pain. A minute or two of pain will help to protect him or her from childhood diseases as well as adult diseases when they grow older. It is very important to your infants health that they receive the proper vaccinations.

Because of early vaccinations, small pox and polio has disappeared from The United States. We no longer hear of reports of an outbreak of either one of these potentially fatal diseases. They are also vaccinated against rubella, mumps, measles, pertussis, tetanus, and diphtheria. Because of these available and mandatory vaccines, children grow up healthy. It is easier to prevent disease with vaccines than it is to cure the disease. Vaccines actually help build the immune system against these diseases, thus your child grows up into adulthood with a fully developed immune system. Toddlers also receive a vaccine against chicken pox.

Your child receives a series of five vaccinations over the period of six years. It starts at birth and continues until the age of six. Without these vaccinations, you are putting your child in risk of contacting a serious disease, along with any other children not vaccinated. Some people for personal reasons or religious reasons choose not to allow their children to receive vaccinations. This causes concern for schools and society.

If parents continue to feel this way, we could see outbreaks for any one of these diseases in the United States. If there would be an outbreak, older adults could be at risk if they were not properly vaccinated as a child. This is why it is important to vaccinate your child against disease. An outbreak of any kind could set back todays society for centuries. It is best to receive the vaccinations to ensure the health of your infant through adulthood. Many schools will not accept children into the educational program without proper vaccinations. This will also limit their education and social development.

Fixing A Water Damaged Laptop

You might not it, but the circuit board in your laptop and any other electronic items in your house were rinsed in clean water and dried before they were put into use?

As long as the water is clean, the device will not be irreparably damaged. If something is allowed to soak in dirty water, however, with different particles and other mineral content, then the device will become damaged.

If you have a laptop that has gotten wet, the first thing to do is to turn it off immediately and remove all sources of power from it including the A/C adapter and batteries.

Set these aside while you take the laptop and turn it upside down. This will stop any more liquid from seeping further into the computer.

After you do that, use paper towels or a rag to mop up the liquid that was spilled, wipe the liquid off the keyboard and the outside. Also wipe down anything else electronic nearby that got wet, too, like an external CD-ROM or external hard drive.

Disassemble the laptop (take a look at your user's manual, too) and allow the insides to air out for at least a full day. Most people who have gone through this procedure recommend longer, especially if the liquid got further down into the computer.

The best thing to do is let it sit and dry until you are confident that the interior is completely moisture-free.

If the only liquid it came into contact with was water out of your faucet, then allowing it to dry should be all that is necessary, but if it was something like soda, tea, or coffee that was spilled onto it, then you will want to clean it with some rubbing alcohol.

You can use cotton swabs for this. Do not apply any heat to the device while you are cleaning it with alcohol and wait until the smell of alcohol is completely gone before you try to power it up.

Put the device back together after you are finished letting it dry or cleaning it up. Reattach the battery and see if it powers on.

If it does, wait and see if it starts up as it should. If it does not, then attach the A/C adapter and plug it up. If you can turn the device on after trying this, then all you should need is a new battery.

This should be pretty easy to obtain, as long as you have the money to purchase it with, either from the manufacturer or from a site like eBay.

Why Some People Make Money Easily -- And Others Dont

Have you ever felt like you simply can't make good financial decisions? When you buy stocks, does it seem like they always drop in price as soon as you buy them? Or when you buy a car, the next weekend it goes on sale?

Why are these problems so common? Why is it that so many of us really struggle to make wise financial decisions? Well, the Bible tells us that there are a number of reasons. It could be greed, fear, impatience, ignorance, laziness, etc.

The really frustrating thing about financial decisions, though, is that you might deal with greed pretty well. But just when you think you have that one licked, fear creeps in and causes you to make a foolish decision. Or maybe you get lazy and don't do the work necessary to make a good decision.

Yes, it really does require wisdom to make good financial decisions (or any good decision, for that matter). But what is wisdom that it can have such an effect on our decisions?

If you look through Scripture, it creates a picture of wisdom. This picture is a lot more practical than you might think. In fact, in Exodus 36:2 we get a small part of that picture. There it says, "And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every craftsman in whose mind the LORD had put skill, everyone whose heart stirred him up to come to do the work."

The words "in whose mind the LORD had put skill" is another way of saying wisdom. So, in essence, wisdom is the skill of using your mind. The mind of the craftsman gave him the skill to carve or build amazing structures. The book of Proverbs describes how to be wise (or skillful) in righteousness.

The verse also shows that God gives us skills that make us better at certain things than others. That's why making money comes easy for some people -- but is very difficult for others.

However, because we're talking about a skill, it's quite possible for you to become more skilled than you are. You may never be a master at financial decisions, but you can get better. You can learn how to make wise (skillful) financial decisions.

So if you think you're making foolish (unskilled) financial decisions now, it's time to develop your skill. It will take time, hard work, persistence, humility, prayer and the ability to be teachable. But, over time, you'll notice a difference in how wise your financial decisions have become.

The Attraction of Galicia and Northern Spain

Galicia in particular and Northern Spain in general have long been considered to be a hidden jewel in the entire Spanish tourist industry. The climate is much milder than in the southern Iberian Peninsula and all of the autonomous regions in Northern Spain can provide all of the necessary ingredients that can make up a successful holiday.

The Atlantic coast of northern Spain boasts extremely attractive sandy beaches whilst inland the mountain ranges are criss-crossed by numerous foot paths.

If you look at all of the autonomous regions that make up modern day Spain, Galicia has to be the most remote. Located in the northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula Galicia is a green, rain swept region remarkable for the diversity of its landscape, where coastal cliffs alternate with lowlands and rias.

Galicia is proud to be the home of one of the most visited religious pilgrimage sites in the world whilst of a more earthly nature the region is extremely famous for its excellent cuisine especially the seafood. Indeed a whole tourism industry has sprung up around Santiago de Compostela and the whole Way of St. James otherwise known as the Camino de Santiago.

The Galicians, whose origins are Celtic, are fiercely proud of their culture and language.

Historically, always classed as the poorer cousin to some of the other richer regions Galicia had an economy that did not easily lend itself to modernisation. Because of its location and partisan traditions Galicia was always fairly inward looking having managed to survive throughout the centuries without ever really been conquered by anybody. It was only very briefly an independent monarchy in the 10th and 11th centuries.

Bordering Portugal to the south and enclosed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean in the west Galicia could offer its inhabitants little in the way of new land for cultivation. The end result of all this was that like Ireland in the north in Galicia, emigration became a major industry.

Thankfully slowly throughout the 20th century Galicia has begun to develop a way in which to manage the traditional lifestyles with a modern community to ensure that none of its rich history is lost.

Galicia has always maintained strong links with the sea and the port cities of Vigo and Corunna are centres of culture and industry. As befits a province that has such reliance on the sea, the seafood here is amongst the best in Spain and fishing is vital to the economy.

As well as the major ports the coastline of Galicia is dotted with tiny little fishing villages. The Galician coastline which was devastated in 2002 with the sinking of the oil tanker prestige has slowly managed to recover and in some cases is now better than ever.

The major geographical point on the Galician coastline is probably Cape Finisterre which is the westernmost part of the Spanish mainland. Inland, the hillsides which are quite often shrouded in mist conceal the remains of Celtic settlements throughout the region. Other examples of the Celtic traditions can be found in the many stone crosses found at crossroads and junctions throughout the region whilst also the continued use of the old traditional stone granaries found in many villages.

As with other Celtic regions, the love of music and the arts is very common in Galicia and as well as its own traditional language, Gallego, Galicia has its traditional musical instrument the bagpipes!

The other way the Celtic tradition is also represented in Galicia is within the various art and Cultural forms. With respect to the Galicians, there is a certain Melancholy to their traditional songs and poetry and this too they have in common with the Irish, Breton, Scottish, Welsh and other Celts. With regards to Galicia (as with County Donegal in the Republic of Ireland), as anyone who has experienced some of the fierce storms coming in from the Atlantic perhaps this is understandable.

Wallet and money clip, which one you should go for?

The introduction sentence of this article maybe make you doubt that is what to choose money clipping or wallet really all about. In fact, the following article includes some updated and useful information about the way of using wallet and reason to consider what you can choose between money clipping and wallet. The information describe below is what you can use. If you find yourself confused by what you've read to this point, don't despair. Everything should be crystal clear by the time you finish. If you've picked some pointers about this topic that you can put into action, and then by all means, do so. You won't really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don't use it.

The traditional way of keeping things at one place is probably using purse or wallet. There is also some other traditional way of keeping everything together. You may have seen a person who still having folded bank notes and all other stuff like credit card and tied them all with rubber band. Or some of your friend may get used to rolling bank notes up in balls in his front pocket. Even though these ways of carrying stuff still exist but personally, I think its time for them to change to new way like any other men do. That is using leather wallet or using money clips to keep things in your pocket. But there is still one question left, which is if they want to choose, wallet or money clips that should go for.

In fact, both leather wallet and money clips are suitable for men. They are different only in terms of design but it does not mean that you have to stick at one think and do not think about changing from using one to another. Leather wallet generally gains advantage in terms of space to contain things, greater protection to your stuff and provide professional look.

Meanwhile money clips is more casual, comfortable and freestyle. Many people think that leather wallet suitable for people who normally have bank notes and credit cards such as business people and money clips is more suitable for people who love casual and light weight stuff such as university student and artists. Even though the fact described above is quite true but do not limit yourself to just one type of these things.

The basic type of leather wallet is bi-fold. It is the most classing wallet types that are available in the market. Bi-fold type also with a crease down the middle and a fold to hold your bills and you may like the tri-fold wallet to choose. If you have some of credit cards and always carry them. I suggest you to go for leather wallet as they need extra protection such as from water and heat. Keep all credit cards in leather wallet so you can make sure that you will not lose re damage them. On the other hand if you are the person who do not have anything much too carry apart from cash and some id cards and need kind of thing that could provide comfort when carry them, money clips is what you have to choose.

At Last! How You Can Take Your Internet Business To the Next Level

One of my biggest mentors in internet business, netweork marketing and personal development held a top secret meeting for 40 of the world's best internet marketers in an un-assuming hotel room in San Diego.

We're talking about the gorillas like John Reese, Frank Kern, Yanik Silver, John Carlton, Joe Polish, Mike Filsaime, the 'Rich Jerk', Jeff Walker, and Rich Schefren just to name a few.

It felt kinda like a mafia movie wher all the families gather in a secluded safe-house to hear the god father speak his peace. It was definitely an honor to be in such company.

So why were we invited to this little gathering, and why did we drop everything on our schedule to make sure we were in attendance?

Well we need to travel back in time, so when you're ready, punch the accelerator on the Delorean to 88 MPH and set the year of destination to 2001.

Six years ago, a young guy living in an un-assuming apartment in California trying to find his path in life took his first step into the world of internet marketing.

His name was David DeAngelo. Like most of us, he began by writing a little e-book and putting up a simple lead capture page.

It did well, and before he knew it, he was making a full-time income from his little internet business. Now that's where most people's internet marketing careers would begin and end. Their level of desire and ambition peaked at a few $1,000 extra per month.

But not with David. Truth be told, he's an intellectual freak show.

But the best part is that his intelligence was not graced upon him at birth "Doogie Houser" style... It was gained word-by-word and page-by-page thanks to his insatiable appetite for reading (Hint Hint).

That willingness to acquire new knowledge, combined with an expanding vision for himself and his little company would create a chain reaction of events that would lead myself and 39 others into that hotel room 6 years later and the story would be told all over the internet.

Now hop back in your Delorean and head back to the future. Today, David DeAngelo Communications Inc. has grown from his tiny apartment bedroom into an internet marketing power-house that is revolutionizing the concept of the "virtual company."

Sales of his little ebook and education courses for men on "dating" exceed $20,000,000 per year. That's more than $70,000 per day!

His little capture page has helped them build an email list with millions of subscribers. The company's view on hiring talent and company structure are revolutionary when you consider they have 80 full-time employees, without an office.

Yes, it's a $20,000,00+ company that's completely virtual and a cutting-edge example studied by Fortune 500 companies around the world.

Quite a story isn't it? Well here's where it gets real interesting... "David DeAngelo" does not exist. It's a fictitious name created by the person we're really talking about here in order to allow him to build his empire in secret.

People have been trying to discover his true identity for years, usually without success. He's never taught internet marketing, he's never held a training event or seminar on his business, and despite the fact that he's one of the most successful internet marketers in the world, you've never heard his name before on any marketing websites.

As far as anyone was concerned, he was a ghost. I had been watching and studying his team for a year or two, but met him personally for the first time in that San Diego hotel room.

I'll have to admit that I awaited his 2-day presentation with baited-breath, as he was going to reveal how he turned his little bedroom internet business into the $20,000,000 giant
it is today.

I hope it's now painfully obvious as to why the 40 of us dropped everything we were doing to attend this secret meeting with just a few days notice.

You see, despite our internet marketing success, most of us in that room were "stuck." We began as employees years ago, conjuring our businesses into reality in apartment bedroom's late at night just like he had, but few of us were truly "business owners".

We had mastered some valuable skills and marketing online, but most of us had... Never hired anyone before. Never fired anyone before.

We didn't know how to build a long-term strategy for our company. We didn't understand how to take the power of branding and positioning to the next level.

We didn't know how to tap into the massive internet marketing channels used by corporate America. And we didn't know how to recruit talented individuals that would help take our businesses to new heights.

For the most part, we we're all running one-man-shows with the help of a customer service agent or secretary, and at a complete loss for "what comes next".

In the end, it simply comes down to the fact that you simply do not know, what you do not know. So in essence, we didn't know how to take it to the next level. He did. And that weekend was a major wake-up call for everyone.

Those two days completely revolutionized my business and the tangible results will become apparent to everyone within the next 30 days. Find yourself someone who is much better at what you do than you are. Get to know and learn from them, you might become as good, if not better than they are.

Discover Awesome Hypnosis Techniques?

If you do some research on the awesome hypnosis techniques done over the ages, you will be amazed to discover how long hypnosis has been around. There is multiple hypnosis techniques used in many ways by all sorts of people around the world. The following article will resume some of those techniques that were used throughout history.

One of the many awesome hypnosis techniques used by some culture was the sounds of drums. This is pretty special actually; they where able to generate a drum beat that would literally induce a state of hypnosis. This unusual hypnosis technique was mostly used during religious ceremonies.

Want to learn More Awesome Hypnosis techniques?

Lets go back in the 1600s where some farmers developed an amazing hypnosis technique. The technique is very basic but also very effective. Together they developed a technique to keep their chickens calm and ready to lay eggs. The technique was to attach a piece of wood to their beaks. This sounds stupid I know but the chickens would focus on that particular piece of wood and would stay still. With this awesome hypnosis technique they were even able to have chickens sit on each others egg. The technique became so popular that at some point it became an attraction that was performed around multiple countries. Similar methods were used to completely put animals under control.

Over the years many doctors and researchers have used similar awesome hypnosis techniques using repetitive sounds or motions. Some of these doctors helped cure many people. There are even stories that some of them were able to perform surgeries with the patient having no pain at all.

The power of the mind

At the end of the century a little boy called Milton Erikson was born. This little boy was affected by polio when he was only seventeen. Being paralyzed he started to use an awesome hypnosis technique while he was trying to walk again. Milton was picturing himself in his mind running and playing outside. Some say that with very strong concentration he eventually began to be able to move his chair he was sitting on. Over time he continued to picture himself learning each step required to learn to walk until he finally did. Milton Erikson later became the father of modern hypnotherapy.

Setting a goal and picturing it in your mind is a very powerful and awesome hypnosis technique.

Isnt it time you went on a Retreat?

Have you ever considered going on a retreat? A retreat can give you a well earned break from the everyday stresses and strains of day-to-day life. Our pace of life seems to get faster and faster with everyone rushing around leading jet set lives. Quantum physicists have actually proven that the resting pace of our planet has speeded up considerably in recent years. None of us can keep up this relentless pace for long, and sooner or later our health begins to suffer.
In light of all of this, the term ‘retreat’ has become quite a buzz word in the travel industry over recent years. The beauty of a retreat is that it can be any length of time, an hour, an evening, a day, a weekend or even a week. It all depends on how much time you have. One thing you can guarantee is that whatever sort of retreat you choose, it will definitely be time well spent.
I recently went on a retreat myself. I had a fantastic time, met some very nice people and learned some new skills for working on people’s energy fields to promote and improve health. The hotel was nice and spacious and was set in a wonderful country village. We had fantastic en-suite rooms and the meals that were provided for us were first class. The best thing for me about the whole weekend though, was actually having a peaceful nights sleep. My husband was left in charge of looking after our two lovely but demanding children for the weekend. The retreat definitely helped me to relax and I returned home feeling calm, refreshed and ready to cope with anything.
You may be looking for an entirely different sort of retreat, and with so many choices available, you are assured of finding a retreat that is just right for you. Just typing the words ‘retreat holiday’ into Google brings up around 2.5 million results. That goes to show just how popular this type of holiday is becoming. You can spend your time having spa treatments, all different sorts of holistic treatments, or even doing Yoga on a mountain top. There are also many spiritual retreats where like minded people can meet up and spend time discussing their beliefs.
Retreats have also become a popular way of spoiling someone special. They can be arranged as a gift for a birthday or anniversary. Nowadays many hen weekends are now spent with the bride to be and her friends having wonderful spa and beauty treatments. (That sounds much nicer to me than spending your weekend in a ‘kiss me quick hat’ in Blackpool).  These types of weekend breaks are also often referred to as pamper weekends as that is exactly how you feel afterwards.
So why not have a think about what your perfect retreat would be and make sure that book some quality ‘ME’ time soon.

A Guide To Postpartum Plastic Surgery

Those Hollywood stars---those Catherine zeta Joneses and Madonnas and Cindy Crawfords----they never cease to astonish me with their fabulous bodies and ravishing good looks even after childbirth. While motherhood brings immense joy and happiness for any woman, the physical changes following pregnancy and child birth are not welcome at all. Yet, the common women of our mother's generations had to put up with their cosmetic woes which they were rather used to take for granted. But today's women do not have to; today there are a range of exciting plastic surgery options to give you back the flawless figure you used to be so proud of!

Benefits
Why these postpartum cosmetic procedures seem to be so exciting? Because they come with a host of benefits---in addition of help you regain your pre-pregnancy form or even better than that, they are characterized by simple procedures and quick recovery, allowing you in most of the cases to return home the same day of the operation. Thus it neither requires another break from your work place nor parting with your new born for long days. These procedures help you enjoy your motherhood in a relaxed manner.

Here are your options of postpartum cosmetic procedures:

Breast Lifting (Mastopexy)
Due to increase in the numbers of milk glands, the breasts expand in size during pregnancy and after childbirth, as you go on breastfeeding, the milk glands gradually shrink, and fat tissues are also lost causing a sagging of breast. To get back the previous toned look, you can take help of this outpatient procedure called "mastopexy" that reduces sagging by removing excess skin. After the skins on the lower half of the breasts are tightened, the breasts get a lift and starts looking firmer.

Abdominoplasty or Lipectomy
Your abdomen becomes the home of your baby for nine months and the sign of this habitation stays there in your abdomen for life long. Not only most women get a tummy after child birth, the abdominal skin also starts sagging and there appear these ungainly stretch marks and other scratch marks. The procedure of Lipectomy can help you get rid of the excess skin that lies below your navel, giving your abdomen a flat and toned look and in the process the stretch marks and scars also disappear. However, if you have only a small amount of excess skin, a mini-lipectomy can do for you.

Stomach Tightening for Muscle Bulges
The stomach muscles are often separated from an expanded uterus and many women find it difficult to reconnect them despite rigorous exercise. But, this condition can be repaired with surgery that is usually covered by health insurance.

Liposuction
New mothers commonly complain of their inability of losing fats from certain areas of their bodies such as thighs, buttocks and upper arms. These localized fat deposits can be removed by an outpatient procedure called liposuction. However, for removing larger amounts of fat, you will need ultrasonic liposuction.

Labioplasty
Labia in the vaginal area get badly damaged during a normal delivery. This damage can be repaired by a labioplasty which can be performed on outpatient basis under local or general anesthetic taking only a few days recovery time.

Nothing gives you more pleasure than having a baby. The post partum cosmetic procedures enable you to doubly enjoy motherhood without bothering about the obvious physical damages followed by childbirth.

A Message of Transformation and Hope for Mankind

Violence is rampant throughout the world; it is on the TV, and in the games children play every day. People's lives are burdened with stress; on the drive to and from work, and all day in the workplace.

Peace Coach, Art Ramsay, says, "We only need to pick up the paper or look on the news to see how stressed out people are. In as stressed as the society is, inner peace is in demand. Whether it is conscious or not, it is still in demand. It may be the people seek and don't know what their seeking."

Art has worked for the U.S. government, traveled to many countries, and experienced many cultures. He was living in turmoil. Along life's road, he began a spiritual journey which led him feeling passionate about bringing peace to the world. He believes a person can bring forth the peace already inside them, and spread it to others.

During his 20 year spiritual journey, Art developed proactive strategies for finding peace, harmony and transformation. Follow the powerful techniques for your own spiritual journey to true harmony.

By learning spiritual principles, by understanding them, and by practicing them, old habits can be changed to new ways of living. Put into practice a refreshing new attitude of getting up in the morning and being grateful for the day, instead of groaning. Expend the effort and have every day be a day of persistent joy along with the desire to improve.

Faith:
-Faith is the foundation, the rock to spiritual growth.
- Faith is used to overcome what seems impossible.
-Faith is a belief in yourself, trusting in your own intuitive self. Believe the truth within yourself. Act on that belief, be persistent, and follow through.

Divine Love:
-Create space for another to grow spiritually.
-Have compassion for others.
-Divine love is an energy that is always present.
-Open your awareness to it.
-It's always there.
-Meditate to still your mind and keep out chaotic thoughts, and tune in to divine love.
-A vital force that lives in everything, and never ceases.
-A powerful energy beyond human understanding.
-It cannot be denied, and overcomes all fear.

Acceptance:
- Accept things for what they are. Acceptance is not an easy concept because society is not very accepting of things.
-Don't judge. Say you don't like it, but accept it as it is. This doesn't mean you condone it.
- Separate the act from the person.
-Accept people for who they are, but not necessarily agree with what they did.
-Accept that it doesn't matter what others think about you. You don't need to be accepted by other people.
-You are powerful beyond human belief.

Forgiveness:
-Faith is necessary for inner peace.
-Write down all the people in your life, both past and present that you have difficulty with.
-Go through forgiveness every day until there is no one left to forgive.
-Forgive yourself. Having hate and resentment for something within yourself will prevent you from finding the peace of forgiving others.
-Allow others not to be perfect.

Harmony:
-Go out to nature and spend some time being with the harmony that is there.
-Join a band and play an instrument, practicing harmony in a way that you see how your part of the playing gives harmony to the rest.
-Use meditation to bring you to awareness.

Wisdom:
-Wisdom can be found within yourself. It is something that comes to you, but you didn't know it was there; a sense of something.
-Wisdom also comes from spiritual masters of the past: bibles, religious texts, and sacred writings.
-Wisdom comes through meditation. You receive it when you least expect it.
-Allow the innate wisdom that you have run your life. Open your world to an awareness of wisdom.

Using these powerful strategies for understanding the benefits of inner peace will remove the fear of the future. Fear is caused by lack of knowledge. Understanding will lead you closer to peace. It will allow you to take a different path and look at what is possible. The possibilities are endless. Move yourself forward with the right choices and remove the fear that controls you.
